Migrating Toward Wholeness™ Virtual Retreats

Healing Retreats for Adult Adoptees

Nine Saturdays, September through May. Virtual retreats that help you reclaim voice, agency, and authorship.

I had no idea what to expect and never imagined the feeling of listening to others and the feedback Liz offered everyone. My only experience of writing groups in the past was sharing without feedback—this was completely different, and I loved it.

What These Retreats Are

Migrating Toward Wholeness™ (MTW) Healing Retreats are live, virtual gatherings created specifically for adoptees who are ready to stop carrying their stories alone.

Grounded in trauma-informed practice, narrative healing, nervous-system awareness, and lived experience, each retreat offers structure and spaciousness for reflection, expression, and connection. Participants are invited to tell the truth of their lived experience, listen to their bodies, and engage in healing at their own pace.

This is not therapy. It is healing-centered, evidence-informed work anchored in choice, consent, and relationship.

Who These Retreats Are For

These retreats are for adoptees who:

  • Feel stuck, overwhelmed, numb, or disconnected

  • Are tired of minimizing themselves or staying silent to keep the peace

  • Want a trauma-informed, specific, and responsive space that honors both body and story

  • Are ready to explore healing through writing, reflection, and community

These retreats may not be a fit if you are seeking clinical therapy, crisis intervention, or a purely instructional writing workshop.

What Happens in a Retreat

Each retreat runs 11 a.m.–4 p.m. ET on Zoom, with a break for lunch. An open room, up to twelve.

  • Guided writing and reflective practices

  • Gentle somatic and grounding invitations

  • Trauma-informed teaching grounded in the Migrating Toward Wholeness™ framework

  • Community witnessing and connection (sharing is always optional)

  • Response and feedback—you won't write into silence

  • A pace that centers nervous-system care, choice, and consent

You decide how much you participate. There is no pressure to share.

This has been the safest place I have experienced to express my thoughts and share my story and feel only understanding, love and support with the writing companions.
— Sherry E.

The Year

The Fall/Winter Core Journey moves through the five core principles of Migrating Toward Wholeness™, one full turn through the wheel. The Spring Integration Series picks up where that leaves off and turns it into practice.

Becoming the Subject names the shift from surviving to choosing. The 4 A's are how that shift gets lived.

Some people come to all nine. Some come to one. The circle changes, and that's part of what makes it work, new stories every time. Take a series, or take a single Saturday. There's no wrong way in.

Torn places, broken places, wounded places, unknown places, fearful places, cavernous-pain-I-thought-I-would-carry-forever places… Migrating Toward Wholeness gently invited me into a safe place and brought clarity, ability to express, and soul connections I never thought possible. I AM migrating toward wholeness.

May 15 — Authenticity
Letting yourself be seen without performing

Your seat is held for all four.

Single Retreats

$259 standard | $129 community rate

Come to one. Choose the theme you need. Choose your date upon checkout.

The Wholeness Economy

Two rates, no questions asked. The community rate exists so that money isn't the reason you stay outside this work, and it runs on the honor system. You know your own situation better than I do. Choose the rate that's true for you.

Why Bundles Exist

Healing does not happen all at once.
It happens through repetition, relationship, and returning to yourself again and again.

Bundle options exist for those who already know they want continuity and a longer arc of care. Single retreats remain available, you get to choose the depth that supports you.

“I’ve felt another layer of optimism for the support that is out there and the healing that is possible.” — J.
